Datamorphosis, proposé par Elektron
À la galerie du rez-de-chaussée
We are stepping into the field of transformation. We follow the path through liquefying binarities and encounter the ambiguity of signs within the foggy data clouds. We listen to the waves of fluid codes and start digitalizing the threshold.
Datamorphosis is an exhibition on the blurry, disorienting space between input and output based on artistic research, an exploration of digital black boxes. A stage for prototypes, experiments, and discussions.
Participating artists: Salma Aly, Alex Fallica, Simon Hehl, Martina Pizzigoni, Sofia Talanti, Emma Silvana Tripaldi
Mentor: Manuela Naveau – Head of programme Interface Cultures à la Kunstuniversität Linz
The exhibition was developed within the framework of the Critical Data lecture, which is part of the Interface Cultures Master program at University of Arts Linz. It examines the relationship between artists, critical mediation and use of data, data processing systems and related knowledge. This exhibition is already the third exhibition realized in conversation with scholars of the University of Luxembourg (Prof. Dr. Christoph Schommer) and the first one in collaboration with Elektron, Platform for art, digital technology, science, and society in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg.
The series of work included in Datamorphosis will also be shown in September 2024 at the Ars Electronica Festival in Linz.
