Sound initiation workshop – Field-recording and editing

Studio visit to the Bridderhaus with artists Alix Van Ripato and Marcin Sobolev. Presentation of their Japanese-inspired ambient music and sculpture projects.

An introduction to sound in the form of collective listening to the productions realized during the residency, followed by a round-table discussion on the notion of sound in the broadest sense of the term. Discovery of the "zoom" sound recorder tool and configuration of our mobile phones to make recordings. Recording in and around the Bridderhaus. Discovery of sounds in the workshop and introduction to sound editing using the Audacity open source software.

Equipment required: participants' mobile phones, personal headphones.
